The Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project is a campaign to raise over £8 million to conserve and protect the Mackintosh Building and its vast archives and collections. More information on the Campaign and Charles Rennie Mackintosh is available on the GSA's main website. Adopting an element of the Digital Art School means that more works can be carried out as part of the Project.
The Digital Mackintosh Project, designed by The Glasgow School of Art’s internationally renowned Digital Design Studio, offers you the chance to put your name (virtually) on Charles Rennie Mackintosh's masterwork. From £15 for selected pieces, donors worldwide can "adopt" a piece of the Mackintosh Building which will be dedicated to them with just a few clicks of the mouse. All donations received for this campaign will be used exclusively to help the School complete the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project.
By clicking online, your chosen piece of the Mackintosh Building will be reserved in your name. In recognition of your generosity you will:
- receive an electronic certificate of acknowledgement for your gift (with the option to purchase a limited edition full colour printed version);
- see your name listed alongside your chosen piece online;
- have your name listed online and in the new Interpretation Centre (to be completed in 2010).
For donations received by post, fax or mail, The Glasgow School of Art will try to meet requests for specific elements but these cannot be guaranteed as online transactions may have secured specific items. Online donations are processed by PayPal to ensure security for every transaction. Credit/debit card details will not be shared with any third party
